Hearty Queso Dip
While we are on the theme of yummy and hearty dips that are perfect for tailgating, I can’t leave out old faithful, hearty queso dip. I know everyone has their own version of this and for good reason! It is ridiculously easy to make, and it’s delicious!!! I like to mix all of the ingredients together and throw it in the crockpot on low. I’ll usually make this with my homemade guacamole and salsa. Add some Tostito’s Scoops or fresh veggies and cheer for your favorite team!
Hearty Queso Dip
Ingredients:
2 cans Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 (2 pound) block Velveeta cheese product, cut into cubes
1 pound spicy ground sausage (I like Tennessee Pride or Jimmy Dean) (*If you like spicy food, you can also dice a jalapeno and cook with sausage.)
Instructions:
Brown sausage on stove top until cooked through.
Combine undrained tomatoes, cubed cheese and cooked sausage to a crockpot on the low setting. Stir until cheese is melted and queso is well mixed. Serve with Tostito’s Scoops or fresh veggies.
